Rev. Paula J. Elizabeth
Interim Senior Minister
Paula was born and raised in Boston. She also has lived in Phoenix, Tampa and Santa Fe. Her undergrad degree was in accounting and finance at Bentley College. She worked for several years in the corporate world before becoming a “stay at home mom” with two daughters, Drea and Mya.
Paula returned to the corporate world as a consultant teaching English as a Second Language for many years, before, during and after graduating from seminary.
She earned a Masters of Divinity degree from Boston University School of Theology and is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, with certifications in Intentional Interim Ministry, Conflict Resolution, and Spiritual Direction.
After almost a decade of interim and consulting ministry, Paula and her husband, Ross (also a UCC Pastor) moved to Santa Fe where they earned a Masters of Arts in Counseling, specializing in trauma, grief and loss from Southwestern College. They are both licensed mental health professionals in the state of New Mexico where they held a private practice for over two years before moving to San Diego. Paula is also a certified mediator and Reiki Practitioner.
She and Ross enjoy energetic long walks and hikes, exploring the culture and history of where they live or visit, and love to share meals and their home with friends and family.
